Frequently asked questions
Everything about listing, placement, payments, and your data.
Version 2026-10-01.1 · USD pricing · UTC daily boards
Is it really free?
Yes. Free listings publish immediately with no Checkout, card, or account. New submissions go to the top of the free column.
Why are there two columns?
Paid listings receive the featured left column; free listings receive the right column. On mobile they stack, paid first. Paid is advertising, not a quality rating.
How does the free order work?
Newer original submissions appear first. Abu appears above Ali if Abu submits later. Re-submitting the same URL does not refresh a position.
How much does a paid placement cost?
The first paid placement starts at $5 USD. Select a whole-dollar target. Higher confirmed totals rank higher. Additional increases must be at least $1; taking first place from another website requires at least $5 above the leader.
Do I pay the full target again?
No. If your selected board’s current total is $5 and you choose $8, Checkout charges $3. On a new UTC day your daily total can be zero even when your all-time total is higher. Read the displayed charge before continuing.
Can I promote an existing free listing?
Yes. Use its Promote button or submit the same URL with paid placement. It stays free while payment is pending and moves to paid after confirmation. Its listing ID, original submission time, content, and clicks are preserved.
What happens if I am outbid?
Your eligible total stays in the paid column and your rank changes. Placement does not reserve first place, promise traffic, or guarantee a display period. Being outbid alone does not create a refund entitlement; applicable legal rights remain.
Do I need an account or verify ownership?
Browsing and free submission do not require an account. You confirm that you own or are authorized to list the website. URL validation is not ownership verification. Website owners can optionally verify domain control through a DNS TXT record and use a private owner key to manage their listing. Shared platform profiles and appeals require support review.
Can someone else pay for my URL?
A URL identifies its listing. Another visitor can add a payment to that URL, but cannot change its existing name, description, or category. Make sure the URL is correct before paying.
Which URLs are supported?
Public HTTP/HTTPS website URLs and X profiles or @handles. Tracking parameters and URL fragments are removed. Website paths remain distinct. Shorteners, chat invites, embedded credentials, custom ports, and private/local addresses are rejected.
Can I edit or remove a listing?
Verified domain owners can edit details and upload a product logo in the owner dashboard. For removal, shared profiles or other changes, request a correction or removal and provide the URL plus evidence of authorization. Listings may be hidden while a request is reviewed. Eligible payment and audit records may need to be retained.
When does payment show up?
Only after verified Stripe confirmation. Some payment methods are delayed. Leave the confirmation page open or return to its link later. If Stripe shows a successful payment but the site has not updated, contact support with the Checkout reference; do not pay again just to force an update.
Can I cancel or abandon Checkout?
Use Stripe’s return/cancel link to expire an open session. Otherwise an open session normally expires after 30 minutes. A processing payment remains reserved until Stripe reports success or failure.
Why does a payment request say the URL is reserved?
Another Checkout for that URL is pending or processing. Complete it, cancel an open session, or wait for its outcome. Contact support if the reservation persists after the payment has finished.
What about refunds and disputes?
We refund verified duplicate or incorrect charges and paid placement we fail to deliver and cannot fix. Being outbid, receiving fewer clicks than expected, or changing your mind after placement is not a refund reason, subject to applicable mandatory rights. Approved refunds are issued manually through Stripe to the original payment method. Refunded funds are deducted; disputed funds are excluded. A listing with zero eligible total returns to free at its original timestamp. See the refund policy.
How long will my website stay listed?
All-time listings have no scheduled expiry and remain while Frontlane operates and the listing follows our rules. Payment does not buy lifetime hosting, a fixed rank, traffic, or permanent availability. Today’s paid ranking resets at midnight UTC; the All-time listing remains.
What if Frontlane closes?
We may suspend or close the service if we cannot continue operating or maintaining it. For a planned permanent closure, we aim to give at least 30 days’ notice on the website, stop accepting payments when closure is announced, and fairly review recent payments and undelivered placements. Unexpected emergencies may prevent advance notice. Applicable legal and refund rights remain protected.
Are payments recurring?
No. Every payment is a one-time USD charge. There are no subscriptions, automatic renewals, transfers, or seller payouts. Stripe controls the available payment methods; your provider may apply currency conversion fees.
What does Sandbox mean?
This local website currently uses Stripe’s sandbox for testing. Sandbox payments do not move real money. Real payments require a live Stripe configuration, HTTPS hosting, verified operator details, and a separate live database.
How do I report a website or ask about privacy?
Use Contact and choose Report a listing or Privacy request. Messages are private to the operator. Do not include passwords, government IDs, or full card details.
Do you use trackers or sell personal data?
The app has no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. It stores your theme preference, essential operator/owner login cookies, and short-lived pseudonymous first-party traffic measurements. Public listing data is visible to everyone. Stripe and the operator’s hosting/email providers may process data for their services; see Privacy.
Are listed websites safe or endorsed?
No endorsement or safety guarantee is implied. Read the destination’s terms and privacy policy, and make your own decision before sharing data or paying there. Report harmful or misleading listings.
